Our Commitment

Blue Haven Windows stands behind the quality of its installation work. When replacement windows are installed by Blue Haven Windows, we warrant that the covered installation work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with the written installation contract, applicable manufacturer instructions, and generally accepted trade standards in effect at the time of installation.

This page summarizes the protection available to qualifying customers. Coverage is subject to all terms, limitations, exclusions, claim requirements, and manufacturer warranty provisions stated below and in the customer’s written contract.

The Four Parts of Our Warranty Commitment

1. Limited Lifetime Installation Workmanship Warranty

Subject to the complete terms below, Blue Haven Windows warrants covered installation workmanship against defects caused solely and directly by Blue Haven Windows’ installation work.

For purposes of this warranty, “Limited Lifetime” means the period during which the original contracting homeowner continuously owns and occupies the residence where the covered windows were originally installed.

This warranty:

2. Workmanship Guarantee

If Blue Haven Windows verifies that a covered condition was directly caused by defective installation workmanship, Blue Haven Windows will, at its option:

Blue Haven Windows is responsible only for the portion of the work proven to be defective and covered under this limited warranty.

3. Labor Guarantee

Approved labor reasonably necessary for Blue Haven Windows to correct a verified, covered installation-workmanship defect is included at no additional charge.

The Labor Guarantee does not include labor associated with:

Any service-call, inspection, diagnostic, travel, access, lift, scaffold, finish-repair, or third-party cost not expressly included in this warranty remains the customer’s responsibility to the extent permitted by law.

4. Product Warranty Protection

Windows, glass, insulated glass units, screens, locks, balances, hardware, frames, finishes, sealants, and other manufactured products or components are covered only by the applicable written warranty issued by their manufacturer.

Blue Haven Windows does not manufacture these products and does not independently warrant that a manufacturer will approve or pay a claim. Manufacturer warranties may contain their own:

When reasonably possible, Blue Haven Windows will help the original customer identify and submit an eligible manufacturer warranty claim. Unless separately stated in a signed writing, Blue Haven Windows’ assistance does not make Blue Haven Windows responsible for the manufacturer’s obligations, decisions, delays, discontinued products, replacement-part availability, shipping charges, or denial of coverage.

If an exact product, glass pattern, color, finish, profile, or component is discontinued or unavailable, a reasonably comparable replacement may be used. An exact cosmetic match is not guaranteed.

Conditions of Coverage

Coverage applies only when all the following requirements are met:

  1. The claimant is the original customer named in the Blue Haven Windows contract.
  2. The claimant continues to own and occupy the original installation property as a primary residence.
  3. Blue Haven Windows performed the installation being claimed.
  4. The customer paid all amounts due under the contract.
  5. The customer used, cleaned, maintained, and protected the windows in accordance with manufacturer instructions and reasonable homeowner maintenance practices.
  6. The customer notified Blue Haven Windows promptly after discovering the alleged defect.
  7. The customer took reasonable steps to prevent additional damage.
  8. Blue Haven Windows was given a reasonable opportunity to inspect, diagnose, photograph, test, and correct the condition before another person altered or repaired it.
  9. The claimed condition is proven to have been directly caused by covered Blue Haven Windows installation workmanship.
  10. The customer has not made a material misrepresentation, concealed relevant information, submitted altered evidence, interfered with an inspection, or otherwise acted fraudulently in connection with the claim.

Failure to satisfy a condition affects coverage only to the extent that the failure caused, contributed to, concealed, aggravated, or prevented reasonable investigation or correction of the claimed condition.

Severe Weather, Natural Events, and Force Majeure

Structural or Building Conditions

Blue Haven Windows is a window installer—not a structural engineer, architect, environmental consultant, mold remediator, or whole-building waterproofing contractor—unless a separate signed contract expressly states otherwise.

Actions by Owners, Occupants, Tenants, Guests, or Third Parties

Normal Wear and Environmental Conditions

Performance Expectations Not Expressly Guaranteed

Unless expressly stated in the signed contract, Blue Haven Windows does not guarantee:

Energy, comfort, sound, condensation, and moisture performance depend on numerous conditions outside Blue Haven Windows’ control, including the home’s insulation, HVAC system, ventilation, humidity, air sealing, orientation, construction, maintenance, and occupant behavior.

Other Excluded Costs and Losses

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this limited warranty does not cover:

  5. Take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage;

Exclusive Limited Remedy

For a verified covered defect, Blue Haven Windows’ obligation is limited, at its option, to correcting the affected installation work, repairing the affected covered component, or providing a reasonably comparable replacement.

Blue Haven Windows controls the method, timing, personnel, and materials used for covered corrective work, subject to applicable law and reasonable scheduling. Replacement does not require an exact match when the original material or product is unavailable.

A customer may not recover the cost of third-party work unless Blue Haven Windows authorized that work in writing before it was performed, except where immediate emergency action was reasonably necessary to prevent imminent personal injury or substantial additional property damage.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the foregoing remedy is the customer’s exclusive remedy under this written limited warranty.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Blue Haven Windows will not be liable under this limited warranty for incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including loss of use, temporary housing, lost income, lost profits, lost rent, diminution in value, or damage to personal property.

These limitations do not apply where prohibited by law and do not exclude liability that cannot legally be waived, including liability arising from Blue Haven Windows’ gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other nonwaivable legal obligations.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, some limitations may not apply, and customers may have additional rights under applicable state law.

No Unauthorized Promises

No salesperson, installer, subcontractor, employee, manufacturer representative, or other person may modify, enlarge, or extend this limited warranty orally.

Any modification must:

Entire Warranty and Applicable Law

This limited warranty must be read together with:

If there is a conflict, the signed contract and applicable law control, except that no provision eliminates a right that cannot legally be waived.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law.
